Playback
Review timing with transport, frame-step, and edit-point controls.
Timeline playback shows the active sequence in the program monitor. Use it to review shot order, trim points, audio sync, and the rhythm between edits before you export.
Control playback
- Press Space to play or pause.
- Press J to play backward, K to stop, and L to play forward. Press J or L again to increase shuttle speed.
- Press the left or right arrow to move one frame. Hold Shift with an arrow to jump one second.
- Press the up arrow to move to the previous edit point or the down arrow to move to the next one.
- Press Home to go to the start and End to go to the end.
The playhead marks the frame you are reviewing. Click the ruler to move it directly, or use frame stepping when you need to inspect the exact side of a cut.
If playback hesitates while media loads, pause briefly and try the section again. Before export, play through every edit and confirm that the intended video and audio tracks are visible and audible.
