Your first project
Go from a blank canvas to a reviewable export.
This walkthrough covers the smallest complete Martini workflow. You will generate one shot, review the take, place it on the timeline, and export an MP4.
Create the shot
- Open a project and press V to place a video shot on the blank canvas.
- Write a prompt that names the subject, action, framing, and camera movement.
- Pick a model and check the olive estimate before you select Generate. Generation spends olives.
- Wait for the take to appear beside the shot on the canvas.
Review and refine
- Play the take with Space. Check the composition, motion, and continuity you care about.
- If it misses, change one meaningful part of the prompt or reference, then generate another take.
- Keep promising takes beside each other or group them into a stack for comparison.
Cut and export
- Drag the selected take from the canvas to the timeline.
- Trim the shot by dragging either edge, then play the sequence from the timeline.
- Open Export and choose MP4. Use XML instead when you plan to finish in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
You are done when the exported file plays with the same shot order and trim points you reviewed on the timeline.
