Playback
Review a take on the canvas before you add it to the timeline.
Select a shot and press Space to play or pause it in place. This is the quickest way to check motion, framing, and unwanted artifacts while comparing takes on the canvas.
Use the familiar J, K, and L controls for closer review: J plays backward, K stops, and L plays forward. Press L again to increase the forward speed. These controls follow the convention used by Premiere Pro, Avid, and DaVinci Resolve.
When the timeline is open, the program monitor shows the current timeline frame at a larger size. Canvas playback reviews the selected source; timeline playback reviews the assembled sequence.
