Canvas objects

Choose the right canvas object for shots, references, notes, and reusable material.

A canvas object is a piece of your project that you can place, move, and organize. Use the object that matches the work: a video shot for moving images, an image for a still or reference, audio for sound, and text for a note.

Subjects and variables help you reuse creative direction. A subject keeps the references for a character or prop together. A variable stores prompt text that you expect to use again. Sets create navigable 3D environments, while bins gather related canvas work without hiding it in a folder.

To add an object, press its shortcut and click the canvas: V for video, I for image, A for audio, T for text, B for a bin, S for a subject, Shift V for a variable, or Shift S for a set. You can also choose an object from the Add menu.
