Create a set

Reconstruct a navigable environment from images or video.

A set begins with a clear view of the location. Martini uses that source to reconstruct a 3D environment you can explore and shoot from new camera positions.

Choose the source

  • Use Image for a wide, sharp view that shows the shape of the space. Add supplementary images from overlapping angles when you have them.
  • Use Video for a slow, steady sweep through the location. Coverage across 180–360 degrees works best; fast movement and zooms make the space harder to reconstruct.

Create the set

  • Place a set on the canvas and add the main image or video in the Create set panel.
  • If you use images, add up to seven supplementary views of the same space.
  • Choose Fast for a quicker, coarse environment or Quality for more detail. Review the olive estimate, then select Create Set.

If the main image contains characters, Martini lets you choose which ones to carry into the set. Video sources do not extract characters automatically, but you can add them after the set is ready.

Set creation runs in the background. When the set finishes, open it from the canvas and check the reconstruction from several angles before framing a shot. If important geometry is unclear, try again with a wider main image or stronger overlapping coverage.
