Gemini CLI setup

Install the Martini Gemini CLI extension.

Setup

  1. Install Gemini CLI if you do not already have it.
  2. Install Martini’s Gemini CLI extension:
    gemini extensions install https://github.com/martini-film/mcp --auto-update
  3. Restart Gemini CLI, run /mcp, then run /mcp auth martini if it asks you to sign in.

Verify connection

  1. Ask “show me my latest projects.”
  2. Approve the first tool calls only after the client shows the expected Martini project or asset target.

Disconnect or revoke

Remove the Martini Gemini CLI extension or MCP server from your Gemini configuration, then clear any locally cached Martini auth token if Gemini exposes token management.

Troubleshooting

If setup fails, confirm the server URL is https://www.martini.film/mcp, reload the client’s MCP servers, then authenticate again. For browser-based clients, make sure the client domain is allowed by Martini’s MCP origin policy.
