Selection

Select an object when you want to inspect or change it. Click once to select it; the selection border confirms which object will receive the next action. The inspector shows the settings for the object you selected most recently.

To work with several objects, hold Shift while clicking or drag a marquee across empty canvas. You can then move, delete, rate, or label the selection together. Press ⌘A to select everything currently on the canvas.

Drag an object to move it without changing its contents. If several objects are selected, dragging any one of them moves the whole selection and preserves their relative positions.

Press Escape or click an empty area to clear the selection. If you are about to delete or move a group, pause to check every visible selection border first.
